At ISA we are always looking for ways to strengthen the support network around the families we work alongside. Sometimes the most powerful resources are the ones that are free, confidential, and available immediately, yet many people aren't aware they exist.
We want to share two incredible national services that provide an extra layer of emotional support and guidance between formal sessions.
Kids Helpline (Ages 5 to 25)
Kids Helpline is a free, 24/7 counselling service for children and young people across Australia. They offer support for anxiety, bullying, family conflict, or simply when a young person needs someone safe to talk to.
A great feature of this service is that young people can often request the same counsellor over time, which helps build trust and consistency.
Phone: 1800 55 1800 (Available 24/7)
Online: WebChat and Email options are available on their website.
Parentline (Support for Parents and Carers)
Parenting can be challenging, especially when a child or teenager is struggling emotionally or behaviourally. Parentline is a free service providing guidance on school stress, family conflict, and parenting strategies. It is an excellent resource for parents who feel overwhelmed and need real-time reassurance.

Hours: 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week.
Why We Are Sharing This
These services are not a replacement for funded supports, but they act as a vital additional layer for early intervention and emotional safety. Sometimes one conversation at the right moment can make all the difference.
At ISA, we are committed to providing high-quality, structured supports that build participant capacity, independence, and wellbeing.
But we also recognise that the strongest outcomes happen when support is not isolated to one provider or one system.
Services like Kids Helpline and Parentline provide:
Early emotional intervention
Additional crisis-prevention support
Safe connection outside funded hours
Professional guidance in real time
A bridge between formal supports and everyday life
These are not replacements for NDIS-funded services — but they are an extraordinary extra layer of care that can strengthen the entire support network around a young person or family.
Please feel free to share these resources with anyone who may benefit. Inclusive Solutions Australia is proud to support strong communities and empowered young people.
