Daily Living Skills
& In-Home Support

Build confidence. Take control. Live life your way.

At Inclusive Solutions Australia (ISA), daily living support isn’t about ticking boxes, it’s about transforming lives. Our Daily Living Skills and In-Home Support Program is one of the most powerful ways we help NDIS participants achieve real-world independence, improve confidence, and gain the skills needed to live meaningful, self-directed lives - both at home and in the community.

Whether you’re learning to manage a household, improve your personal care routine, or navigate public transport with confidence, ISA is there with you, side-by-side, with expert guidance, encouragement, and care.

At Inclusive Solutions Australia, daily living is not just support — it’s structured, intentional transformation. Whether delivered externally or through our Kingston Integrated Living Model, our Daily Living Skills Program is embedded into everyday life, designed to help participants develop real-world capabilities that lead to long-term independence.

We don’t run generic “life skills sessions.” We deliver evidence-informed, real-world coaching, tailored to individual learning styles and support needs — including participants with Level 2+, intellectual disability, psychosocial disability, sensory sensitivities, or executive functioning challenges.

ISA Program Streams are built across five structured domains of independence:

Home & Tenancy Sustainment

  • Understanding tenancy responsibilities

  • Cleaning routines and hygiene practices

  • Managing inspections, maintenance, and co-living expectations

  • Safe storage, food safety, and secure living

Cooking, Nutrition & Food Safety

  • Budget-friendly meal planning and grocery shopping

  • Cooking with confidence (stovetop, oven, air fryer, microwave)

  • Food storage, hygiene, and culturally appropriate meals

Routine, Organisation & Time Management

  • Visual schedules, appointment planning, and travel training

  • Structuring the week with balance across wellness, responsibilities, and rest

  • Building reliable personal routines (morning, evening, appointments)

Budgeting & Financial Literacy

  • Weekly/monthly budgeting and NDIS fund understanding

  • Safe use of EFTPOS, banking apps, and goal-oriented saving

  • Identifying scams and preventing financial exploitation

Emotional Regulation, Self-Advocacy & Decision Making

  • Communicating needs, rights, and preferences confidently

  • Regulation strategies, sensory coping tools, and supported decision-making

  • Managing conflict, resolving peer issues, and building self-worth

How ISA Delivers Daily Living Differently:

  • Embedded Learning: Skills are not taught in isolation — they are practised daily in real environments. Staff use everyday routines as coaching opportunities, shifting from full support to gradual prompting and independent action.

  • Customised Tools & Visual Supports: Participants receive visual planners, checklists, budgeting tools, and cleaning rosters based on their learning style. These tools empower participants to take ownership and track their own progress.

  • Measured Outcomes: Every participant has a Daily Living Skills Matrix aligned with their NDIS goals. Staff track skill progression monthly, with milestones clearly documented and linked to participant outcomes.

  • Scaffolded Coaching Model: ISA’s approach is based on gradual withdrawal of support. We meet each participant where they’re at and coach them to step forward at a safe and sustainable pace.

  • Peer Modelling & Shared Living (Kingston Only): At our Kingston site, participants benefit from peer-led learning. Cooking together, maintaining shared spaces, or planning house routines becomes an opportunity for natural capacity building.

  • Whole-of-Life Impact: Daily living doesn’t exist in a silo. Skills like time management, hygiene, and financial literacy flow into employment, housing stability, social connection, and overall wellbeing — advancing progress across every domain of a participant’s NDIS plan.

Who This Program Supports:

  • Young people preparing to exit care or move into independent housing

  • Adults transitioning from supported accommodation

  • Participants with cognitive, developmental, or psychosocial barriers to independence

  • Anyone needing support to build reliable routines, executive functioning, or life management skills

📍 Supporting NDIS Participants in South-East QLD

Why ISA Delivers the Best in NDIS Staffing

At Inclusive Solutions Australia, we don’t just fill shifts — we build teams that change lives. The quality of our people is at the heart of everything we do. It’s why participants thrive, why referral partners trust us, and why our organisation continues to grow.

We recruit with purpose, train with depth, and support our staff with the infrastructure, culture, and leadership needed to create meaningful, lasting outcomes.

Backed by Training, Supervision, and Systems

ISA’s Daily Living Skills Program is supported by a highly trained workforce. All support workers and team leaders receive coaching in:

  • Prompt hierarchies and non-invasive support techniques

  • Use of visual aids and adaptive strategies

  • Trauma-informed practice and communication

  • Accurate documentation and linking outcomes to NDIS goals

Our compliance and leadership teams oversee all documentation, reviews, and continuous improvement processes to ensure supports remain aligned with NDIS Practice Standards and individualised plans.

We Hire for Heart, Train for Excellence

Our support workers don’t just come for a job — they come to grow, contribute, and create change. We provide the foundation for them to do that at a high standard.

Every ISA worker is:

  • Trained to understand the NDIS framework — not just how to complete a shift

  • Supported to connect their role to participant outcomes

  • Coached to work with purpose, initiative, and integrity

We develop staff who are changemakers, not task-tickers — and they bring that mindset to every interaction.

We Match Workers with Purpose

At ISA, we take support worker–participant matching seriously. We don’t send whoever’s available — we send the right fit.

We match based on:

  • Communication and processing style

  • Cultural background and gender preferences

  • Personality, energy, and life stage

  • Participant sensitivities, interests, and goals

Because we know that one good relationship can change a person’s trajectory — and that starts with a purposeful match.

Our Systems Back Our Staff — Not Burn Them Out

Our systems aren’t just about compliance. They’re about safety, clarity, and efficiency.

  • Elmo delivers HR, learning, incident management, and policy tracking

  • ShiftCare keeps staff informed with live rosters, case notes, ISP goals, and risks

  • Our onboarding structure ensures no one enters a shift blind — they know the participant, the context, and the plan

The result? Staff feel prepared, participants feel safe, and services run smoothly.

Oversight and Support That Actually Matters

Every ISA participant has a dedicated Team Leader overseeing their support.

This means:

  • Workers are never left unsupported

  • Participants have consistent oversight and meaningful plan reviews

  • Communication is proactive, not reactive

  • Support is given when things go wrong — and recognition when things go right

Our Team Leaders don’t just manage shifts — they mentor, guide, and grow our teams.

Communication Is Our Culture

We’re often told our communication is “the best in the sector.” That’s not luck — it’s a standard we uphold.

  • Weekly or monthly stakeholder updates based on individual need

  • Clear escalation pathways and leadership accessibility

  • Transparent case tracking and documentation

  • Open internal communication between peers and leaders

When something changes, people are informed. When issues arise, they’re addressed. Quickly, professionally, and respectfully.

Compliance That Supports

Our staff are supported to meet their responsibilities — not set up to fail.

We don’t just hand over policies. We train, coach, and reinforce. Our live documentation includes:

  • ISPs and goal tracking

  • Risk assessments and crisis plans

  • Behaviour flowcharts and emergency plans

  • Line item mapping and evidence guides

These tools aren’t static. They’re used — every day, on every shift.

Low Turnover, High Culture

ISA has one of the lowest staff turnover rates in the sector — and it’s not by accident.

Our workers stay because:

  • They’re backed by leadership

  • They’re trained, appreciated, and given real career pathways

  • They’re part of a team that values impact and integrity

We promote from within. We support growth. And our participants benefit from continuity and trust.

We Track Real Results — Not Just Hours

We’ve supported people from disengagement to employment, from unsafe housing to stable independence.

And we don’t just say it — we document it:

  • Monthly progress reviews

  • Case reviews led by Team Leaders

  • Feedback loops with families and coordinators

  • ShiftCare tracking cross-referenced with outcomes

This is what accountability looks like — and it’s embedded into our staffing model.

ISA Is a Team — Not a Roster

At ISA, workers aren’t just lone contractors — they’re part of something bigger.

We foster connection through:

  • Monthly team socials

  • Peer mentoring and case-based discussions

  • Recognition initiatives

  • A culture where people look out for one another

When a participant joins ISA, they gain a team — not just a single support worker.

Why ISA Staffing Works

  • Because we hire with purpose.

  • Train with depth.

  • Support with structure.

  • And lead with care.

We don’t just deliver services. We deliver outcomes — through a workforce that’s built to last.
